ITANAGAR, Jan 25: The Directorate of Medical Education Training & Research has lodged an FIR against at least eight individuals for forging the signature of officers in the appointment letters for the post of multi tasking staff and lower division clerk (MTS & LDC).
In an appointment letter (Order copy) mostly signed by Additional Director DME, Dr. Bommi Riba and Joint Director DME, Dr. S Tawsik  (issued during Sept 2021 to Nov 2021) has been mentioned that on the recommendation of Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board, candidates have been appointed as MTS or LDC on temporary basis in different Nursing Schools of various districts and salary be drawn under – 08-Central Plan Scheme (Demand No.15) 2211-DME-00-001 Direction & Administration(08)01-Establishment Expenses 00-01 –Salaries.
When contacted regarding such a recommendation by the Board, Under Secretary APSSB, Mudo Tamo categorically denied the same and informed that the Board has also received an FIR copy forwarded by the Directorate of Medical Education Training & Research today.
"The Board hasn’t conducted any examination for MTS yet, and details of LDC examination are on the Board's website, anyone can see that," he said.
Recommendation list can only be sent to the department for those qualifying in the examination conducted by the Board but the names of all seven persons are nowhere in the merit list of the APSSB,  said the Under Secretary.
While responding to query, Additional Director DME, Dr. Bommi Riba claimed that "all the signatures in the appointment letters are forged. We have lodged an FIR against at least eight people at the Police station, Naharlagun."
Dr. Riba also disclosed that, as per information, the numbers of fake appointment orders could be more, because the candidates with their appointment letters had approached him to accept their appointment in the department in return they were ready to confer something in kind to him. He also revealed that their dealing person had also contacted him and expressed resentment over lodging of FIR. “As per information, the kingpin has collected cash from different candidates with assurance to provide them jobs," stated Dr. Riba. Moreover, the posts mentioned in the appointment letters do not exist in the Directorate of Medical Education Training & Research, he added.

When asked about recommendation letters of ABSSB, he also categorically denied any such letters and informed that File No. mentioned in the letters are also fake. He added that candidates had attached some advertisement clips published by the APSSB.
