Ziro, Jan 27: In a major boost to the end stage renal disease care, a dialysis centre was inaugurated at Gyati Takka General Hospital on the eve of Republic day by Minister, Agriculture and allied departments, Tage Taki.
The dialysis center is being funded under the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme and executed by RWD, Ziro Division.
Terming the center as a blessing for the people of Lower Subansiri and also the nearby districts, Taki said “Most families often have to undertake long distance frequent trips to access dialysis services, incurring heavy travel costs and loss of wages for the patients and the family members accompanying the patient.
This center is a landmark in the end stage renal disease care and will relieve poor patients of the financial burden.” He further appealed for maximum registration under health insurance services provided by the center as well as the state government like the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is the largest health assurance scheme in the world which aims at providing a health cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana scheme provides beneficiaries a total of Rs.5 Lakh annually out of which Rs.1 Lakh is for secondary treatments and Rs.4 Lakh for tertiary ones.
He requested the ZPMs attending the inaugural program to disseminate the information about the schemes to the people at the grassroot level.
DMO Dr.Tage Kanno, informed that dialysis will be done free of cost at the center.
"The dialysis center will be run on PPP mode. The expertise of private companies already in the field of renal care will be utilised .E -Sanjeevani Pvt.Ltd, a Kolkata based company will be collaborating with the district hospital for the technical supervision and assistance" he further informed.
Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang also spoke on the occasion. She appreciated the efforts of DMO Dr. Tage Kanno and his team for boosting the hospital and equipping it with all the modern medical technologies.
Among others SP Harsh Indora, ZPMs, HoDs and doctors attended the programme.
