NAHARLAGUN, Mar 11: The District Health Society (DHS) today bade farewell to four of its officers in a small function held here at the conference hall of the Directorate.
Out of the four officers, three have been transferred and the other has retired from service. Dr Neeba Lowang who held the post of OSD to DHS (P&D) since October 2018 has been promoted as DMO, Tirap and Suresh Kumar who was the Finance and Accounts Officer of the Directorate since August 2017 has been posted as the F&AO at DC office, Yupia. The longest serving PA to DHS, Riggo Dirchi who worked under five Directors of Health Services from August 2010 to January 2021 for a period of more than 10 years has been promoted as PA and will be joining the office of the Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission.
Dr. Sajingla Chai Pul who was the Joint DHS, NVBDCP has gone on superannuation. An alumnus of Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, she joined State Health Services as a Medical Officer in Tezu and thereafter served as DRCHO, DMO in various districts till her promotion to the current post at the DHS. She has the distinction of treating the first corona case in the state when many were fearful even to go near a Covid-19 patient. For this act of selfless courage, she was felicitated by the National Commission for Women in New Delhi and Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women in the just concluded International Women’s Day celebration in the capital. DHS Dr M.Lego thanked all the outgoing officers for their contributions and wished them the best.
Earlier, two very senior officers of the department, DDHS (Public Health & CEA) Dr Tojum Lollen and SPO (NPHCE)-cum-NO, NPPC Dr Binduk Padu were also given a warm send-off on their superannuation. Both joined the services in 1986 and served in interior outposts in various capacities as MO, DMO etc. DHS PR
