ITANAGAR, Nov 30: The first ever cross country marathon (XCM) ride of Itanagar Cycling Meet was organised covering a distance of 95Kms from Itanagar to Sagalee. 
Altogether 6 young riders namely Dhenis Hangu (15), Chomson Ngemu (16), Dima Gamlin (14), Rimon Donik (17), Lijum Lollen (18), Alemso Tawsik (20)  participated in the event with Chukhu Yania as the match official.
Flagging off the meet, Director, Itanagar Cycling Meet, Ijum Gadi said, Arunachal is blessed with dawnlit mountains which provides a perfect terrain for MTB XCM. He also shared important tactics and norms regarding XCM. 
Dhenis Hangu won the marathon clocking 5 hours 23 minutes 15 seconds.
The stipulated time to complete the race was 8 hours.
