ITANAGAR, Oct 8: Residents of the capital complex bid adieu to Goddess Durga as the festivities concluded today. Devotees offered sweets and prayers to the goddess, and people were seen exchanging greetings and hugging each other.
Amid security cover, the four day Durga puja came to an end today. More than 28 puja pandals were built in various locations of Capital Complex, informed Capital SP Tumme Amo. Team of police led by SP, Assistant SP, Deputy SP, SDPOs and Officer In-charge of various police stations along with jawans visited various pandals for the last three days to ensure peaceful celebration of the puja, he added.
Today was the last day and like every year procession for immersion of idols was held peacefully amidst security and traffic management, said Amo.
