ITANAGAR, Sep 1: The Kargu Kardi Welfare Society (KKWS) has taken strong exception to the repeated attempts by the Tanii Development Forum (TDF) to create a media trial against Managing Director of Arunachal Pradesh Consumers Cooperative Federation Limited (APCCFL), Birik Bole in connection with the demise of a woman employee of the APCCF Ltd.
Terming TDF’s demand for removal/ suspension of the MD, in a release it stated that as a voluntary welfare organization, KKWS neither cheers any illicit act nor bestows to defend wrongdoer, since the law is equal for all. However, dragging an innocent official into a media trial is unexpected and provocative and tends to fetch uninvited elements for which TDF shall be responsible.
Questioning the veracity of the press statement of TDF on August 28 last, KKWS alleged it of cherry-picking certain portions of the inquiry report to suit their position. “The TDF has abstracted only the finding made during the inquiry and same was reflected on July August 31 last in the media, thereby TDF misrepresented the inquiry report,” claimed KKWS and added, as per the conclusion/observations of the said inquiry report, it is clearly stated that there was no sexual harassment or intentional harassment at the work place and report further stated that there were contradictions in the issue of VRS and BOD meeting on May 26 last.
Further, KKWS urged the TDF to pursue for justice only with responsible authority but cautioned it against repeated trolling and libel in social media, print media etc against the official. Warning that such an act will have legal consequences, it questioned, “Why don’t the TDF think of registering a regular case against Birik Bole, MD (APCCFL) even after the lapse of 68 days since FIR?” In its press statement, KKWS reminded TDF of the clarifications made by the Registrar of the Cooperative Societies (RCS) Tai Kaye on  July 27 last, regarding the position and duty of government official Bole in the APCCFL  and  of the press statement by the Chairman of the APCCFL Toko Kach regarding the issuance of Voluntary Retirement from Service (VRS) to its seven staffers including deceased Late Tadu Obey as the Decision of the Board of Director (BOD) and same being issued by the Chairman of the Federation under his seal and signature.

More pertinently, the SDPO, Naharlaugn Police Station has clarified a contradiction of complaint of harassment at work place and the Death Certificate report of deceased as cerebral haemorrhage, leading to stroke, a natural death, claimed the press release
