ITANAGAR, Jul 18:

 

Following allegations of uneven disbursement of scholarship to students, the Director of Social Justice & Employment and Tribal affairs today clarified that it is a technical issue and clerical error and that the department would disburse the complete amount on the stipulated time as informed earlier. This was informed to a team of All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) today.

Due to such clerical errors the technical and non technical students has been mixed up, and the department stated that it would rectify such errors but it would do only of those genuine candidates who have not availed state stipend. The department informed that all the payments are done by Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) and istransparent in nature.


The department has also informed that the requirement for NOC has been doneaway as the Directorate of Education has handed over the
required data in soft and hard copy for rectification.

 

The AAPSU Education Secretary, Prem Camdir Tallang informed that the Union’sobjective is solely for students’ welfare and has been pressuring the
state government and appealing the central government for early disbursement. The Secretary also appealed the students to maintain calm and not resort to violent protest as the department’s given
dateline is yet to be over.


The AAPSU has also appealed the students community not be misguided ormisinformed about scholarship issue and rather cooperate with the officials concern for the smooth disbursement.

The Union also claimed that the students community should forbid from any unwanted hue and cry and also warned that the AAPSU would take no responsibility for any loss or damages to individuals and property by some section of misguided individuals.
