ITANAGAR, Feb 21: Taking ahead the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a “Skill India focused with value addition”, the department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Arunachal Pradesh rolled out its wagon wheel to create a resource rich manpower that fits and churns the economy of the state and for livelihood of the youth.
The department resumed all its skill development ecosystem post COVID so that the youth of the state could be trained in specific trades and can be gainfully employed, one self-employed in various economic sectors.
An orientation programme was conducted at the Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on Friday last for the first batch of 30 youths for training under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana (PMKVY - 3.0). The trainees are being sent to Assam Professional Academy, Guwahati to undertake training on Retail Sales Associates job role and the entire training expenses is being borne by the Government. After completion of training minimum 70 per cent will be provided with a gainful job.
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Director Subu Tabin briefed the candidates about the training and its benefits attached with after its completion.
