AALO, Nov 16: The Shi-Yomi District Administration under the chairmanship of DEO Mito Dirchi conducted an all-party meeting to discuss various urgent issues concerning the December 22 PR election in the district at his office chamber on November 13 last.
While discussing at length the issues like notification of election, latest A/Roll and its updation, appointment of BLA, engagement of election and counting agents, inspection of polling stations, law and order situation, draw of lots for seats reserved for women and other election-related issues with the party representatives and concerned officers, the DEO asked the concerned departments to furnish the names of officers and officials to DPDO Gamtum Padu. Assigning the duties and responsibilities to the officers, he asked them to discharge their assigned duties in a time-bound manner to ensure adequate preparation for the election.
He also appealed to all the political parties to cooperate with the concerned DPDO, EROs, AEROs and all election-related officials to make the elections free, fair and transparent. DIPRO
