Khonsa, Nov 23: As a part of the ongoing PR election preparedness, a district level coordination meeting involving the Heads of Departments (HoDs) was convened today by DEO(PR)-cum-DC Tirap Taro Mize here at the Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall.
Briefing on preparations, Mize urged the HoDs ensure that vehicles along with manpower are stationed at the headquarters for a smooth conduct of the election. He further asked the DDSE to instruct the respective Teacher In-charges to ensure availability of basic minimum facilities such as water, toilet and electricity at the respective schools as all primary schools have been designated as polling stations. Superintendent of Police Kardak Riba informed that construction of ‘No Entry’ gates by political parties in any part of the district including villages will be prohibited during election process and appealed the Sector Officers to ensure implementation of the order.
DPDO-cum-ADC Kretkam Tikhak while reminding the responsibility of Sector Officers to make sure that polling stations are motorable/reachable, informed that RWD and PWD are to assess the condition of roads.
Besides the HoDs and Sector Officers, ROs and AROs also attended the meeting. DIPRO
