ITANAGAR, Jul 5:In a complaint letter addressed to the Prime Minister, the All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Forum, (AAPYF) has requested him to issue an order for immediate cancellation of land allotment given to Deori Tribe within the state.

While referring to a committee constituted during the tenure of Former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki in the year 2012, which was headed by Commissioner Land Management to assess the ground reality, the union said the committee was supposed to submit the full report within one month, but 4 years has passed, the committee is yet to prepare the final report on the issue.

Further requesting the PM to immediately intervene and draw remedial measures, the union claimed that Deori tribe are not listed under APST category and as per Supreme Court order, tribal land cannot be allotted to Non-APST as per constitution scheduled tribe order, 1950, 1952, scheduled tribe amendment order.
