ITANAGAR, Oct 24: A delegation of 12 citizens from Dollungmukh Circle, Kamle district comprising of people from all walks of life viz.,farmers,local Panchayat leaders, youth leaders including women representative were on an exposure visit to NHPC Ltd Power stations located in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir from October 8-15.The whole exposure visit was sponsored by NHPC Limited.
The main motto of the exposure visit was to get a first-hand information and practical knowledge about how a power station functions and what are the benefits to the local Project Affected Families after the commissioning of the project. During the course of the exposure visit, the delegates met A.K. Singh, CMD,NHPC Ltd and Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) NHPC Ltd at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad and discussed at length about the various issues pertaining to the welfare measures adopted by NHPC Ltd for betterment of the PAF's and others local people.
