ITANAGAR, Jul 24:Unhappy over inaction of the state government towards their charter of demands, the Galo Students Union (GSU) on Monday has cautioned that it will boycott the ensuing Independence Day celebration across the Galo belt, if the government fails to make Lower Siang District functional before August 10 next.

In an ultimatum submitted to CM office today, the Union stated that the step motherly attitude of the government towards the Galo people has compelled them to take the decision.

Posting of adequate PGT and ST teachers in upgraded higher secondary schools in various pockets of West Siang, sufficient manpower and supply of latest equipped technology at upgraded General Hospital at Aalo were their key demands.
