BOMDILA, Aug 31: A Dedicated Covid Health Care Centre (DCHCC)/Covid Care Centre (CCC) was inaugurated here at the Old College Building on Monday by ADC/Incident Commander Sang Khandu.
The newly revamped DCHCC/CCC named ‘Ashiyana’ will have all the facilities for Covid treatment under one roof within the secured premises. Currently the facility has 67 beds which is extendable up to 100 beds along with other facilities like nursing station, security personnel, testing centre and on-call doctors. Additionally, facilities such as hot water, heating arrangement, monitoring, counselling and recreation room for the overall well-being and speedy recovery of Covid patients will also be available. The DCHCC/CCC comes at a time when there is an increase of Covid cases in West Kameng and the existing facilities have been overstrained.
The renovation process was completed by the District Administration within 4 days with active support from the medical team, PHE, PWD and Electrical departments and volunteers of the HOPE NGO and AWKSU. DIPRO
