CHARJU, Feb 17: The ‘Care me Home De-addiction Centre’ here in Tirap district which is engaged in the noble cause of bringing drug addicts back to the mainstream, has during the past few months scripted success stories by treating and discharging as many as 32 patients.
As an acknowledgement of the efforts, ADC Hq Khonsa  Kretkam Tikhak along with EAC Hakresha Kri visited the centre on Tuesday where they interacted with the current inmates while appealing them to refrain from all substance abuse activities.
Chairperson-cum-Chief functionary of the NGO ‘Care Me Home Welfare Society’ which runs the de-addiction centre, Sontung Bangsia while informing the visiting officials about its achievement in charting the path of recovery for 32 patients, divulged that 9 more are currently under care and recovering. She further informed that the NGO is organising a mini marathon with the theme “Run for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” with cash prizes of Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 respectively for the first three spots on February 20 next as part of Statehood Day celebrations. 
Discharge certificates were issued to the cured patients by the ADC on the occasion. DIPRO
