ZIRO, Mar 23: Officials from the Department of Education, Lower Subansiri district today made surprise visit to a number of government schools under Ziro I Block.
The team was led by the district’s Deputy Director of School Education Tabia Chobin accompanied by DPC ISSE Nangram Kayum, APO-Cum-Coordinator Narang Mobing, BRC Ziro-I Hage Opo and CRC Old Ziro cluster Mudang Challyang. The team started with Government Secondary School, Hill Top wherein they interacted with the teaching staff and students. This was followed by Government Residential School Siro when the team was accompanied by various panchayat members. Visiting Secondary School, Gandhi the team interacted with the teaching staff, students and Headmaster. The demand for posting a computer operator was conveyed to the team. The day’s tour came to an end with a visit to Government Upper Primary School, Old Ziro. Students, teaching staff and Headmaster brought into notice the issues of shortage of teachers and deplorable infrastructure.
The DDSE has informed he would shortly file a report with the state government detailing the ground realities.
