Aalo, Jul 29: To make a ground-level assessment of the Government Lower Primary School, Tego Gamlin located 42 km away from the district headquarters under Yomcha Circle which has remained defunct since 2018, the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) Eto Ete accompanied by other officials visited the school on July 28 last.
BEO (E) Jarnyum Boje, BEO (RTI) Posi Gamlin and BRCC Aalo East Taken Kamum were part of the inspection team.
Ete is the first HoD to visit the school since its establishment in 1986. While interacting with the villagers it was revealed that there are 24 children who are being deprived of their educational rights due to indefinite closure of the school. The DDSE assured its revival from the current academic session itself through posting of a teacher and arranging furniture.
He also appealed the villagers to construct a temporary quarter to accommodate the teacher to which they readily agreed. DIPRO
