ITANAGAR, Aug 7: DDHS (P &D) Dr. Taka Zirdo was accorded a warm farewell on superannuation by his colleagues here at the DHS conference hall on Friday. 
DHS Dr. M. Lego, while describing Dr. Zirdo as a silent and sincere worker, recalled his untiring and selfless services to the healthcare delivery system in the state at the grassroots level. “I’ve always discharged my duties thinking it as my Karma,” the outgoing DDHS (P &D) said in his farewell speech. Dr. Zirdo did his MBBS from Imphal Regional Medical College (now Regional Institute of Medical Science) and joined the State Health Service in January, 1989 at District Hospital, Aalo where he served for six months. After that he was transferred to Tirbin Health Sub Centre where he worked for six and a half years. From 1995 he served at Diyun Health sub centre, Chowkham CHC and then as DMO Longding. He was promoted as DDHS (P&D) at the Directorate of Health Services and served in the capacity from November 2016 till retirement.
The farewell event was attended by the senior officers and staff of the directorate.
