ITANAGAR, Jun 3:

The team of medical professionals posted at Itafort Health Unit have shot off an open letter to the Chief Minister in the wake up of “ a viral video” wherein Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex is heard rebuking the medical officer on duty at Itafort Primary Health Centre.

Terming such action in full public view and in presence of media as demotivating and demoralising, the letter took exception to the DC’s choice of words, that has led to social media troll.

Also, health workers have questioned the frequent change of government orders within 24 hours and the wisdom to vaccinate 25000 citizens in 3 days.

They claimed that there is no delay in administering vaccines. Delay is because of confusion  regarding on-site, off-line  and on-line registration, the letter stated.

We should be allowed to work freely just like in Intensive Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) and Measles Rubella Campaigns, demanded the medical professionals while insinuating that current top-down approach is bereft of ground realities.

Expressing discontentment over the dilapidated building with leakages and exposed electrical wirings, they have urged the Chief Minister to inspect the Itafort Primary Health centre to evaluate the infrastructural conditions.
