ITANAGAR, Sep 18: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Yupia, in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) conducted an webinar which was participated by members of Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and other Stakeholders on Friday.
Various topics were covered during the full-day event ranging from: ‘Legal Services Authority Act and Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011”; “Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, & the Roles, Duties and function of CWC, JJB and other Stake Holders”; “Child Protection and Provisions for Rehabilitation under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Rules, 2016”; the “Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012”; and “The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986”.
Member Secretary, APSLSA, Jaweplu Chai, Deputy Director of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Yupia, Aryoma Lowancha, Secretary-General of the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS), Adv. Kani Nada Maling,  Legal Aid Counsel, APSLSA/ JJB member, ICC, Adv. Nani Modi and others took part in the virtual meeting.
