Itanagar, Jul 4: Continuing with the inspection of the schools of Itanagar Capital Complex, the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Talo Potom along with officials
visited schools of Itanagar, Lekhi, Nirjuli and Borum areas today.
The visits are being made with an aim to take stock of the conditions of the schools of Capital Complex and to check the ground realities.
During the visit, the DC took stock of the infrastructure of the schools, condition of classrooms, enrolment of students, availability of subject teachers, shortage of teachers if any in the respective schools. He was also apprised of various other important issues like land encroachment, boundary wall, land allotment, drains, requirement of high mast lights, shortage of peon, chowkidar etc by the heads of school and SMCs to which the DC assured to look into the matter.
He urged the SMCs to become the guardian of schools by keeping regular check on the assets of the schools thereby reducing thefts and anti social activities in the schools and its compounds.
Few Corporator had also accompanied the team during the visit within their respective jurisdictions.
DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo, EE Power Er Rajesh Dawe, AE PHED Er Tamchi Syam, AE PWD Er Pema Dorjee along with the team of officers of DDSEs Office were present during the visit.
