PASIGHAT, Apr 9: Deputy Commissioner, East Siang, Tayi Taggu accompanied by the deputy director (ICDS) Machi Gao today visited four Anganwadi centers under Pasighat ICDS Project namely Paglek- I&II, GTC and Tebo to take stock of functioning of the Anganwadi centres.
The DC noted various challenges being faced by the centres during the visit and assured to take appropriate steps for betterment and to resolve poor building conditions, water connectivity issues and fencing and encroachment problem etc on priority. Taggu appreciated the hot cooked meals and supplementary nutrition items being provided to the children. He directed all the Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) of the district to ensure proper functioning of the AWCs functional as per the laid down Government guidelines.
