Yupia, Oct 8: Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare district Pige Ligu on Thursday visited a number of ongoing infrastructure development sites under the Balijan Sub-Division to review their work progress.
Accompanied by SP Jimmy Chiram, EEs PWD and RWD Byabang Tugu and Techi Jobae respectively and other officials, the DC inspected the Bailey bridge project over Papum river at Ramghat which is going to be an important communication lifeline for the people of Tarasso Circle. The proprietor of the executing construction firm informed that construction materials like steel girders and plates etc. are ready for use and the project will be completed by April 2021. However, EE PWD assured that the department will give its best effort to complete it by March 2021. The team also visited the 20-men barrack-cum-police outpost project at Dullung village and received assurance from the contractor that the handover will be completed before March 2021. Taking note of the water supply problem of the upcoming barrack, SP assured to look into it.
While returning from Ramghat, the team also inspected the ongoing CHC building project of Balijan which has been delayed due to the pandemic. The executing contractor assured to make the handover to the health department before March 2021. DIPRO
