Itanagar, Nov 13: The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region, Komkar Dulom convened a meeting today with all the heads of government schools under the capital region ahead of the reopening of schools from Monday, November 16, for Classes X and XII.
The DC stressed that all the Covid-19 SOPs should be strictly followed and also directed the Head of Institutions to prepare their own SOPs as deemed fit as per the availability of resources, infrastructure etc in their schools.
He also directed them to appoint Nodal Officers for each school separately as per the guidelines.
Dulom also informed that District Task Force will also be formed in consultation with DMO and DDSE Itanagar Capital Region to monitor the situation from time to time.
Other issues like providing of thermal scanners, sanitisers to schools were also discussed.
Later, the DC handed over masks for distribution amongst the students of Class X and XII.
The BEO Nabam Shelly informed that altogether 2900 students have registered in Class X and XII for the academic session 2020-21 for appearing CBSE exams.
The SDO Sangeeta Yirang also attended the meeting.
