NAHARLAGUN, Nov 26: Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson of the Inspection Committee-cum-District Advisory Board (DAB), Papum Pare Pigu Ligu along with the committee members and officials today inspected the Oju Welfare Association (OWA) here.
Guided by OWA Chairperson Ratan Anya, the visiting team was acquainted with the schemes run by OWA under one roof viz. Arunachal Women Helpline, Child Care Institute (CCI), the lone Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) of the state, Swadhar Greh (home for women under difficult circumstances), loin loom and traditional jewellery making unit, handloom training centre and vocation training units. The team members also interacted with the Women Helpline 181 team and children of the CCI and women survivors sheltered at Swadhar Greh. 
The committee members who were part of the delegation comprised Superintendent of Police, Papum Pare Neelam Nega, DMO, DDSE and Member Secretary-cum-Deputy Director ICDS Cell, Yupia A Lowangcha. After inspecting the integrated complex, the delegation lauded the relentless efforts and services rendered by OWA for the children and women in distress under the guardianship of Ratan Anya, its Chairperson.
After discussions on several issues, the DC directed the DMO to conduct medical camps on a monthly basis to track the physical well-being of children and provide free medicines as per guidelines and assured to look into the other grievances. The DDSE was also directed to issue books for the vulnerable children sheltered at OWA.
Both the DC and SP assured to extend all-possible help from their end to OWA. The Home’s children presented a few cultural items to the dignitaries. OWA PR
