BOLENG, Aug 4: A District Level Monitoring Committee headed by DC, Siang Atul Tayeng today inspected the ongoing construction of the Pangkeng-Bingung Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road project.
District Programme Officer (DPO) and EE, AE, JE of RWD (Kaying Division) and the site engineer accompanied the DC who met the HGB, GBs and community members of Bingung village to discuss a land dispute issue relating to the said construction. The matter was resolved amicably among all stakeholders. The PMGSY road covers a stretch of 24.72 km for which form cutting works have been completed and works for Gravel sub-base (GSB) is completed on the 14 km stretch. The DPO and EE RWD (Kaying) gave the details of works relating to culvert, Water Borne Mechanism-III and cement concrete (CC) drain that have been completed.
The DC highlighted the need for the engineers across departments to be in constant communication with each other for expediting works. The committee also discussed plans to visit the other ongoing projects in the district to ensure speed and quality of construction. DIPRO
