AALO, Oct 3: The Shi Yomi Deputy Commissioner, Mito Dirchi inaugurated a Health Care Unit in Singbir Village on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The State Legislative Assembly Speaker, PD Sona along with head of offices, health workers, GBs were present on the occasion. The HCU is being funded by DC Rotary Foundation and supported by PD Sona.
Singbir is a Model Village of the district located 4 km away from Mechuka township. The Health Care Unit will be well equipped to cater medical needs of other villages in the upper Mechuka regions and stop gap arrangement will be managed by CHC Mechuka. After inspection and inauguration of the centre the team paid floral tribute to the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and took part in the mass social service by shopkeepers, and officers of Mechuka Circle.
