LONGDING, Mar 2: Deputy Commissioner, Longding Bani Lego on Monday undertook a day-long visit to various institutions and project sites in the district to make a first-hand assessment of their quality aspects. 
The DC commenced his tour from the newly constructed Longchan Circle office wherein he interacted with the CO In-charge, ZPM, PRI members and villagers. Accompanied with the DDSE he then took stock of Longchan School and on his way towards the Wakka Circle headquarters inspected the ongoing GREF road from Tissa to Wakka and asked the officials to maintain the quality of work.  On arrival at Wakka, the DC visited the Government Higher Secondary School and assured all-possible help to the students and teachers in ensuring quality of education. Continuing with his tour in the Circle, he visited the State Bank of India Wakka branch and took stock of the existing cash deposit ratio and other issues related to inadequate manpower and had a detailed discussion with the bank officials on measures required for greater financial outreach in the area.
Inspecting the PMGSY road to Khogla which is based on nano technology, the DC enquired about its efficacy. The officials informed that use of nano technology in road construction is proving unsustainable due to its poor durability in the state’s climatic conditions. The DC also inspected the new police station in Tissa which is being constructed under TCL funds and visited the KGBV School and hospital.
Participating in the local Oriah celebration in the Circle, he appealed the people to refrain from cultivating or consuming opium. DIPRO
