HAYULIANG, Jan 19: Deputy Commissioner, Anjaw Ayushi Sudan has assured all support from District Administration’s end to the newly operationalized Swamy Camp Drug De-Addiction-cum-Rehabilitation Centre here.

The DC gave the assurance today while visiting the centre with a team of officials from the DA. As part of the visit the DC planted Litchi trees in the compound followed by fruit distribution and interaction with the inmates of the centre. The Medical and Police Administration of the district also assured to provide the centre all necessary support to eradicate opium/drug addiction among  the youths of Mishmi society. Amik Matai Society, the local NGO managing the centre in collaboration with North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) has requested all stakeholders and various sections of the Mishmi society to visit the centre and support their initiative with whatever means possible.
