Aalo, Nov 13: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi today in a meeting here at the DC’s Conference Hall with the Gaon Buras (GBs) of Darka, the biggest village in the district heard their demand regarding appointment to the posts of two HGBs which have been lying vacant as of now.
Assuring to look into the demand, the DC exhorted the GBs to continue their important role in settling local disputes and maintain neutrality during any election process. He also highlighted the need for inclusion of GBs who can read and write for making the institution of GB more vibrant. While informing that he will go through the details of the segments like Darka-1, Darka-II and Darka –III, the DC said the appointment process may take time due to the upcoming Panchayat elections.
