BOMDILA, Jan 22: A vehicle rally to disseminate mass awareness on road safety was organised by District Transport Office, West Kameng in collaboration with  Bomdila Police here in the township today as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month observation.
The rally which was participated by 42 four and two-wheeler riders was jointly flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki and Superintendent of Police B.R Bommareddy. Volunteers form GHSS, Bomdila, Police department and taxi union participated in the rally, all of whom were given commendation certificates. 
ADC Bomdila Sang Khandu, Circle Officer Kesang Wangda, DTO S. Barua and DMO D Wange were among others who attended the event. 
In Anini,  a women’s scooter rally was organised by the department of Women & Child Development in collaboration the district administration and NHDCL today. Messages of road safety, use of helmets, vehicle registration and safe driving were disseminated through slogans. A booklet on road safety signs were distributed By DTO, Anini. 

In addition the message of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was also propagated. A total of 37 women riders participated in the rally.  DIPRO
