ITANAGAR, Oct 19: The All Darak Youth Association (ADYA), a frontal youth organization of Darak Circle in West Siang district in a letter to the Chief Secretary has appealed him to initiate disciplinary action against the Circle Officer of Darak and his immediate transfer for attending the infamous DJ Night in Aalo on August 29 last.
“The officer being the administrative head of Darak Circle has acted in an irresponsible manner and his behaviour as an enforcer of law cannot be justified in this extraordinary time of Covid-19. His lack of remorse continues to undermine the sentiments of the Darak people,” the letter mentioned.
A copy of FIR lodged by various organizations against the organizers of the event accompanied the complaint letter. ADYA also alleged that the misconduct and administrative incompetence by the Circle Officer through total disregard of the COVID SOPs has risked the lives of people of Darak and West Siang.
