ITANAGAR, Nov 17: The District Museum at Daporijo was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu in presence of Union Minister Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju and other dignitaries on November 12.
The District Museum is facilitated with five modern and scientific galleries comprising of Basketry & House Hold implements, Ornaments, Textile & Head gears, Weapons, metal property/gift items. 
Besides inauguration, the release of a Booklet entitled – “A temple of cultural heritage of Upper Subansiri District” was the other highlights of the programme.
 "I'm glad to inaugurate the Museum of Upper Subansiri District. In coming days this museum will play a vital role in increasing awareness and also dispensing              
more knowledge specially to the younger generations about the rich heritage of the people of Upper Subansiri," to the CM said.
On behalf of Directorate of Research, the custodian of Museums in Arunachal Pradesh, Batem Pertin, Director of Research, Dr. S.K. Ghosh, Dy. Director of Research (Museum & Archives) and Dr. B. Paul, Assistant Curator were present.
