DAMBUK, Jan 11: Tucked in the mesmerizing hillocks deep inside Eastern Arunachal in Lower Dibang Valley district, Dambuk which is always known to produce one of the best quality oranges in the country is also proving to be a major contributor to tourism.
Lured by the mesmerising scenic beauty of the orange orchards and an unspoiled beauty of the landscape at the backdrop, tourists continue to pour in to spend their leisure at the huts and tent facilities especially made for promoting tourism in the area. One such is Nature’s Nest, a popular garden resort that is making a brisk business in the current season. One of the roadside vendors, Oyi Apum, an ITI diploma holder said tourists from Assam and also from within Arunachal keep visiting with night halts their preferred choice. “We are overloaded with bookings during the current season and our traditional huts besides the tents are made for offering best services and comfort to the visitors,” a caretaker at Nature’s Nest said.
They relish on oranges, enjoy photography and stay nights and the flow is expected to continue all throughout this month, the caretaker added.
