Roing, Oct 10: On the occasion of the weeklong Daan Utsav or the 'Festival of Giving' which is observed annually across the country from October 2-8, Childline Roing conducted an open donation campaign here in the Lower Dibang Valley headquarter.
The campaign which saw the circulation of Daan Utsav posters on various social media platforms, received positive responses from all corners of the district and the Childline kept receiving boxes of toys, clothes, stationery items and books etc. throughout the week. The campaign concluded on Saturday and a total of 86 children were reached and given clothes, books, toys, stationery items and sweets etc. Speaking on the occasion, Coordinator, Childline Roing Ishaya Mili said she has been motivated by the response and thanked the district’s people for making the campaign successful even during the prevailing pandemic.
While asserting that Childline will work tirelessly for serving the interest of the state’s children, she urged the young students to remain aware of child rights and the Child Helpline number 1098. Childline PR
