Itanagar, May 5: Team of District Administration Capital Itanagar led by EAC Itanagar Takam Nicholas and EAC Tamo Dada seized gambling items from Nyokum Lapang ground today.
The Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom has requested the denizens to refrain from such illegal activities and to cooperate with the District Administration as it requires a collaborative effort to get rid of such menace.
It is pertinent to mention here that gambling of any kind- housie, cards including dice are banned in the State under Section 3 of Arunachal Pradesh Gambling (Prohibition) Act, 2012 and several orders in this regard has been issued by the District Administration from time to time.
