Khonsa, Oct 13: The new Deputy Commissioner of Tirap district, Taro Mize who took charge on Monday convened a district level coordination meeting here at the Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall today and discussed the ways for containing the sudden rise of Covid-19 cases in the district.
Based on deliberations with the concerned HoDs, DMO, SMO, DSO (IDSP) and representation from the All Tirap District Students’ Union (ATDSU), it was decided that on October16-17, the entire market area and government offices in Khonsa and Deomali townships will be sanitized with sprayers and disinfectants.
Sanitization works at Khonsa Bazar will be conducted by the Urban Department and that at the government offices will be carried out by the respective Heads of Offices. Due to the sanitization drives, movement of people in and around Khonsa Bazar and government offices will be restricted on these two days.
However, all government offices will remain open and there will also be no restriction on vehicular movement.
The denizens of the district have been requested to cooperate with the DA and bear the inconvenience caused for smooth conduct of the sanitization works. DIPRO
