ITANAGAR, Sep 28:
The capital administration today carried out a drive to eliminate stray animals left in the open by their owners which causes obstruction and traffic problems in the city’s congested streets.
The DA said it will continue the drive while also observing the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and asserted that animals will not be subjected to any form of cruelty.
The drive was necessitated following repeated notices and warnings to owners to keep animals off public places and roads.
The drive was led by EAC Itanagar Hengo Basar, CO Bittu Kri, Senior Veterinary Officer (IMC) Dr. G Piel and Veterinary Officer (Forest) Dr. Sorang.
