SAGALEE, Sep 28: Continuing the Market Survey-cum-Inspection of Papum Pare District, a team led by Trade Development Officer Tai Arun and Magistrate Techi Tamar, ASIF&CS Sagalee conducted a day long inspection at Sagalee and Leporiang markets on September 27.
The Trading License of all the shops was verified and the traders and shopkeepers were made aware of the importance of possessing and renewing of Trading License. Both new and renewal forms were distributed on the spot at free of cost. The team also visited a stone crushing unit, a Coal tar manufacturing unit, an APMC Market shed & two petrol pumps.
During the inspection, some bottles of illegal petrol and large quantities of Beer and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were seized from grocery shops and roadside dhabas.
Urging traders and shopkeepers to maintain market discipline and refrain from selling of unauthorized items like petrol, liquors and cannabis (Bhang), the official assured all possible assistance from the District Administration.
The next and the last phase of Market Survey-cum-inspection will be carried out for three days at Yupia-Doimukh-Hoj markets from October 1-16 next. DIPRO
