Roing, Jan 10: A meeting of the heads of departments and school principals was held today to discuss the Republic Day celebrations in the Lower Dibang Valley district.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh spoke on the importance of using face mask and sanitising hands frequently to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the district. Mandatory use of face mask in public places and gatherings can go a long way in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 from one person to another, she added.
The meeting was held to chalk out the programme of the Republic Day celebrations in the district and assign the duties and responsibilities to the departments and schools in the township area.
