Changlang, Sep 18: Ahead of the upcoming National Deworming Day 2020 activities on October 1-15 next in Changlang district, a coordination-cum-orientation meeting was convened here at the DC's Conference Hall on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav.
Assistant Commissioner F Brahma, DMO Dr.C.L.Manchay, Medical Superintendent Dr.T.Tangjang, DD ICDS L.K.Singpho, CO Development Dr.R. Mibang, CDPOs and Medical Officers from all the 7 Blocks of the district attended the meeting. DMO gave a brief presentation on NDD and the district’s performance in the first phase along with modalities for the coming phase. Roles and responsibilities of frontline workers, monitoring and reporting components were highlighted by DRCHO Dr. Jomnya Ado. Reminding the necessity of strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs, DC stressed on evolving a comprehensive micro plan for convergence of ORS (Out Reach Sessions) and VHSND (Village Health Sanitation & Nutrition Day) in all Blocks for achieving maximum coverage and minimising loss of time and resources. While informing that a monitoring mechanism for effective implementation of the programmes involving Administrative Officers in all Blocks and Circles would be worked out, he exhorted the stakeholders to work with utmost zeal for achieving the NDD objectives.
Various other suggestions for smooth implementation of the programme such as staggered timings in schools, training of Anganwadi workers and ASHAs were also discussed. DIPRO
