Khonsa, Sep 13: The Tirap district administration arranged free transportation for the national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET-2020) aspirants of the district who appeared for Sunday’s examination at Dibrugarh in Assam. Deputy Commissioner Bhanu Prabha in coordination with DDSE Hortum Loyi facilitated free transportation to the aspirants from Khonsa to Dibrugarh via Deomali covering a distance of 250km to ensure that no willing candidate of the district is left out for want of transportation. The special bus service was made available to the aspirants following all Ministry of Home Affairs mandated SOPs.
As most parents were unable to meet up the expenditure of hiring private vehicles to reach the examination centre at Dibrugarh, the DA in coordination with DDSE, Khonsa arranged the special bus service, Prabha said.
Parents of the aspirants lauded the effort made by the DA and Education department during the Covid-19 pandemic. DIPRO
