Itanagar, Jul 10: The Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar visited the Cremation Cum Burial Ground Chimpu today and participated in mass social service cum plantation drive.
The drive was organised by Yuva Against Corruption Sangh( YACS) Arunachal Pradesh and WINGS Foundation AP in collaboration with District Administration Itanagar Capital Complex.
The volunteers of YACS and WINGS had been carrying out social service at the Burial ground since Monday along with plantation drive, informed EAC Datum Gadi who has been looking after all the works related to the burial ground on behalf of District Administration. He said that the volunteers, all comprising of youths are working with zeal and enthusiasm to improve the condition of the ground that has been witnessing final goodbye to the departed souls by their family members.
The CS was accompanied by senior State Government Officers and the DC ICC Talo Potom.
Later, the DC participated in a social service organised along the Highway by Youth Welfare Association of Ward No 1. The DC lauded them for their voluntary service.
