Itanagar, Mar 9: In order to take stock of the progress of the Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) and Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY), a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar was convened with all the Deputy Commissioners, Regional Managers of State Bank of India, MDs of Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank and APEX Banks and others.
The Chief Secretary stressing on the need to complete sanctioning of ANKY and ANBY within 15th March this year, said that it is time that the fund released may be used in the fields by the beneficiaries being time bound activities.
To achieve the target, the Chief Secretary said that there should be proper coordination between the Deputy Commissioners and the Banks. Dismayed over poor performance by some districts, he asked the DCs to reconcile the gaps and disparities in terms of figures and work accordingly.
Emphasizing that maximum beneficiaries should be covered under the two Atma Nirbhar Schemes of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the Chief Secretary directed the Deputy Commissioners to guide the applicants in submitting loan applications complete in all respect by deputing District Agriculture Officer and District Horticulture Officer. In case of rejection of any application by the Banks due to insufficient documents, such applicants also may be guided by the District Administration for re-submission with full documents before the deadline which is on 15th March 2022.
The Chief Secretary requested the Financial Institutions including the State Bank of India to send additional man power in some districts with low manpower in their branches to expedite the loan processing from their end.
He further requested the Financial Institutions to take up the applicants under the ANKY and ANBY on priority.
He stressed that the loan sanction and disbursement should be completed by with 15th March 2022.
The Chief Secretary also informed the members present in the meeting that the entire loan process will be made online for the ANKY and the ANBY from next financial year onwards.
The meeting was also attended by Agriculture Production Commissioner Rajeev Verma, Secretary Agriculture and Horticulture Bidol Tayeng, Director Agriculture, and Director Horticulture.
