ITANAGAR, Mar 2: The 8th review meeting to discuss the status of pending works under Package-A NH-415 (10.90 km) from Chandranagar to Pappu Nallah was convened on Monday by Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar which was participated by all stakeholders. 
The CS urged the stakeholders to expedite the remaining works so that the project could be completed within the scheduled time frame. EE (Highway) Er Nani Tath informed that 34.50% of works in the underpass segment have been completed and regarding Changranagar bridge he informed that the 2-lane bridge on the left hand side has been completed and will be opened for commuters on March 6 next. Once opened, work on the right hand side will start immediately, he added. Throwing light on the progress of the 2nd bridge near the entrance of DC ICR office, the EE informed that construction of abutment along the left hand side has been completed and works for the right hand side has been completed up to PCC level. Works on dividers, parapet walls at Dree Ground and parapet wall at grade separator have been completed and those on junctions and BC work at Itanagar and Naharlagun are almost complete except for a few points, he informed. 100% work along the 40-meter drain (opposite to DC office entrance) has been completed and the remaining 67 meters for construction of raft and wall is in progress, the EE (Highway) added.
Attending the meeting, EE (Electrical) Er Joram Lali informed that all pole foundation works along the highway have been completed except at the entry point of the underpass and that at the DC office entrance. According to him, works on the bridge are also completed except for two poles at Chandranagar and pole erection and furnishing of luminous works are in progress, to be completed by March 15 next and testing and commissioning will be done by March 20. Other miscellaneous issues like construction of culvert outlets, repair of drains and dividers, correction of drain walls, slope protection of the Dree ground culvert, shoulder/berm cleaning and clearing etc. were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
The CS directed SP Jimmy Chiram to check unnecessary and haphazard openings on the divider works which may cause traffic accidents and instructed ADM Talo Potom to carry out joint inspection with the teams of PWD and executing agency to close the openings. DC Komkar Dulom, the SP and ADM were also instructed by the CS to work out a plan for diversion of traffic in consultation with the executing agency. He further suggested beautification of the IG Park junction complying with MoRTH specifications. 
Among others, the meeting was attended by Commissioner to CM Sonam Chombey,  Joint Secretary to CM Kanki Darang, CE (PWD) Er Kuru Sera, members of the Highway Monitoring Committee and representatives of the executing agency. DIPRO
