ITANAGAR, Feb 25: Aiming to strengthen the relationship with civilians and as part of its Civic Action Programme, G/186 Bn CRPF, Jaipur, Namsai today distributed water filters to the villagers of Bodak under Mebo Sub-division in East Siang district. A similar programme was also conducted today by 138 Bn, CRPF in Seppa in East Kameng district.
The programme in East Siang was organised at the community hall of Bodak village in presence of Block Development Officer, Mebo Inti Remi Ering as Chief Guest and General Secretary, ABK Youth Wing, East Siang Auteem Muang. A total of 36 water filters were distributed to the villagers which will be helpful particularly during monsoon when river waters and streams remain polluted. The programme was organized as per the direction of Commandant Jajiv Kumar under supervision of Assistant Commandant GTC Pasighat, Dinesh Kumar Yadav. The initiative received wide appreciation from the villagers led by the GB.
The BDO while commending the gesture said it will foster the relationship between armed forces and civilian population. 
The Civic Action Programme in Seppa saw distribution of 80 water purifiers among the villagers. Commandant Harvinder Singh Kales, Second in Command Naveen Kumar, SP, East Kameng Sumit Kumar Jha, ADC Likha Tejji and DFO Vikash Swami were among others present on the occasion.
