Itanagar, Jun 13: The cremation cum burial ground Chimpu finally has a shed for performing last rites with the Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom taking the initiative to build a better facility with the hope that it would give some respite to the families who lose their loved ones at such times of grief.
The District Administration has acknowledged the contribution of Corporator Lokam Anand for his cooperation and also his team for providing with the necessary manpower during the construction of the shed. The Electrical Capital Division has also provided four poles for erecting the structure at the ground.
EAC Datum Gadi informed that  social minded samaritans have also contributed voluntarily for the purpose like Uttam Roy who runs PA fabrication shop at Chandranagar Itanagar and who arranged materials and workers for the construction and media person Sangge Droma who through her fund raising campaign arranged donors for the same. Also on Saturday,  the District Administration led by DC Talo Potom handed over CGI sheets to Deepak Nabam Living home  for renovation of their dinning hall which was completely damaged by massive landslide that had occurred on June 6.
