ITANAGAR, Jan 15: Along with the rest of the country, COVID-19 vaccination drive which will be officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 10 am on Saturday will be rolled out in Arunachal Pradesh at its 9 session sites identified for the purpose.
The 9 identified session sites are KDS DH Tawang, BPGH Pasighat, DH Yingkiong, DH Namsai, TRIHMS Naharlagun (Two way communication facility), GTGH Ziro, GH Aalo, DH Seppa and DH Longding. Each session site will have 100 beneficiaries as already uploaded on the CoWIN app and a total of 900 of them will be administered with doses in all the nine sites on the day. Simultaneous launching in the state will be made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu from KDS DH Tawang, Home Minister Bamang Felix from the TRIHMS and from DH Yingkiong by Health Minister Alo Libang.
As of now Arunachal Pradesh has received a consignment of 32,000 doses of Covishield vaccine and after allocation they have already reached the vaccine stores of all the districts. The vaccination drive will continue in the rest of the districts from January 17 as per the schedule elaborated on the CoWIN application/app.
