LUNGLA, Jul 23: On the fourth day of the Covid vaccination drive in Lungla subdivision in Tawang district that covered the left-outs, 65 beneficiaries from the villages of Kharteng, Phomang and Bakhar were inoculated today.
48 of the total received their 1st dose while the remaining took their 2nd jabs. The healthcare workers inoculated two bed-ridden physically challenged senior citizens and a 90-year old at their residences. 8 pregnant women were also administered with the 1st dose. DRCHO Dr. Rinchin Neema along with ZPM Lungla Thutan Gombu and CO Lungla Nawang Thutan inspected the Health and Wellness
Centre, Kharteng. The DRCHO supervised all the activities of the centre and personally monitored routine immunisation scheduled on the day. The 4-day long mop-up round in Lungla subdivision which concluded today has covered around 15 villages and a total of 308 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered.
The District Administration will conduct a review meeting at the end of this month and if required, more mop-up rounds will be conducted in the rural areas of the district, the DRCHO informed. DIPRO
