AALO, Feb 9: All the four Circles in West Siang have been covered under the ongoing COVID vaccination drive after administration of the first dose to the district’s healthcare workers.

Out of the target of covering 1282 healthcare workers in first phase, 980 were vaccinated, with the rest being pregnant women and persons with health complications. The DC, SP, SDO started the vaccination from the District Administration and Police department and the HoDs who are listed as frontline workers will follow the same as a confidence building measure and for countering the apprehensions regarding the side effects doing rounds on social media. 40 frontline workers had already taken the vaccine.

The DFWO disclosed that under Intensified Indradhanush Mission 17, the left-out children under age group 0-2 years have been located and the first dose will be administered on February 22, to be continued for further two months to achieve the full immunization target. DIPRO
